Established in 2000, Unity Secondary stays true to our mission of developing Unitians to be resilient and future-ready with the passion to serve and lead. A School of OpportUNITY, we welcome students and parents to step into the school that provides Rich Opportunities for students through our EnRiching, Rigorous and Relevant Programmes and Classroom Practices that are anchored in strong Relationships built between our Character Coaches, teachers and students.

EnRiching - In Unity, we believe that every Unitian has potential to be an inspiration to others and this belief drives our motivation to provide rich opportunities for all Unitians. Run on a 4+1, 4-Day Academic and 1-Day Character Development Curriculum, Unitians dive into rich learning experiences from Monday to Thursday and the school is turned abuzz with Unitians embracing opportunities to be Leaders of Self and Others where CCA Leaders step up to lead in CCE lessons and CCAs on every Friday. Multiple practical platforms are created for Unitians to experience and practise leadership where they model the way and inspire others to lead. Diverse stretching programmes such as our Leaders of English Programme, Advanced Mathematics Programme, Young Scientist Programme and Humanities Programme nurture students’ talents and interests beyond the textbooks. In Unity, teachers are called Character Coaches as their focus is on development of Unitians to be young gentlemen and ladies to be leaders of character.

Rigorous and Relevant – ‘Every Classroom A Good Classroom’. Teachers in Unity Secondary immerse themselves in inquiry practices and lesson planning to design Active Learning lessons where every Unitian is an Active Learner – Doing to Learn; Learning with Others and constantly Assessing their Self Learning. Technology is harnessed to make learning and teaching visible in our classrooms.

Our Applied Learning Programme (ALP) – Sustainability Education @ Unity Secondary School future-proof our students with relevant skills of Biotechnology to relate to real world problems of food sustainability. Our students learn about genetic engineering in our Science Laboratories, experiment with solar technology and get exclusive access to tertiary institution’s fabrication labs. Our young Unitians learn practical scientific research skills to help them progress in their future careers.

Our Learning For Life Programme (LLP) – Lead through Outdoor and Sports Adventures is a natural platform to deepen our school’s REC2IPE Values of REspect, Commitment, Compassion, Integrity and PErseverance. Unitians are given exposure and experiences to lead through outdoor and sports adventures. With Unity’s niche and winning streak in Basketball and Volleyball, it’s a sporting school atmosphere that exudes high level of students’ commitment and tenacity in pushing themselves beyond their limits and in the process developed strong character and growth mindset.

Unity Secondary, a School of OpportUNITY is blessed with opportunities because of the strong support from our Teachers, School Admin Team, Parents, School Advisory Committee, Alumni and Community Partners who work in tandem with us to develop Unitians to be Lifelong Learners and Inspiring Leaders.
